What will Sarah Palin soon have in common with Alan Greenspan, Bill Clinton and Al Gore? She is going to Hong Kong in September in order to deliver the keynote address at the CLSA Investors Forum, an annual invent for global investment advisors. Oy vey.
Well, this is probably why the Bloggacuda left office -- to make money. I, unlike other liberals, do not have a problem with that. I am not sure how long her "fame" will last. She should squeeze out every dime before it ends. The list of prior speakers (Clinton, Gore, etc.), however, clobber Palin in terms of intellect and knowledge of global finance.

According to the article, it's her first commercial speaking appearance. So if she's trying to make money, she's certainly waited around.
The question for me is what Sarah Palin possibly has to say to a group of investors. The article notes that the speakers are often invited from fields like "geopolitics", but I can't imagine what useful information Palin could give investors.
Then again, maybe the "geopolitics" line is a subtle joke aimed at the proximity of her residence to other countries, and how this informs her political views...
I guess we will have to wait and see what the "Cuda might say about her experience with the AK pipeline.... and the oil related businesses she worked with while Governor.
Should be interesting.

When I first heard that McCain had chosen her, I dug up a lot of her old interviews and speeches. She can do the petro talk.

Yes, but she can outwink those elitist snobs any time, you betcha! And she can see Russia from her house, while the other guys can't. So there.
Bakerc: I don't think she could do commercial speaking as governor. So, her opportunity to do this has just opened up.
